I’m m good with electrical applications and had fully intended to use silicone-filled wire nuts. I have a great stripping tool and it would’ve been pretty quick. I decided to give these connectors a try to save me from stripping four wires per connection on seven lights. I’m not sure they saved me any time. That said, I found them to be pretty innovative and slick. I did quickly learn that my channel locks were my best friend to plunge the splicing blade into the wires deeply enough to get a good, easy close of the lid. Keep a rag on hand because you’ll be getting the gel on tools and fingers. Good product.
