I messed around with some lower priced switching power supplies from Amazon before finally turning to this one. It's more expensive but actually works and is reliable. With the cheaper switching power supplies, even though my setup is drawing current well within their rated capacity, eventually I was getting shutdowns, overheats, blinking brownouts. (And actually I looked into buying a switching power supply from a reputable manufacturer with a similar current rating, and in fact it was more expensive than this product.)

This thing is basically a transformer in a metal box. Plus some resettable fuses. Be aware that you're going to need to either hardwire it to AC or supply your own power cord. Check the specs because if you want to do it up to spec there is a rating for the power cord that you will want to meet.

Also watch out, there is another version of this product that is wired for two separate circuits at half the current each. If you have one circuit then you probably want this one.
