Sturdy, thick composite housing, glass (not plastic) lens and firm stake. That is all great, but the connectors (which I ordered separately from same site) failed to make contact with the inside wire three out of five connections. My supply line is about twenty years old and is smaller than currently available low voltage landscape line. This is the side that failed to connect repeatedly. Also, it should be noted in instructions that at the end of the run (last light on the line) care should be taken to place the pigtail from the light in the correct slot inside the connecter because both lines come to an end. For those who would like to have these lights above ground level, I found that 1/2-inch plastic riser pipe for watering systems will screw into the stake threads, and 1/2-inch PVC connectors will screw onto the base of the light and the top of the riser (the PVC connector MUST be threaded on both ends.
